6.19.18: The 2018 CMES conference (Montreal and Quebec in Focus) is taking place at McGill University.

3.7.18:  A second postdoc position has been posted. Primarily focused upon study of Ontario School Board trustees, the project will be associated with the CMES.  See here for details.  Applications due March 30, 2018.

10.17.17: Now that election-day has come and gone, post-election surveys are being launched in Calgary.

10.13.17: With election day right around the corner, we thought we would release some results.  See here for data on vote intention and anti-candidate sentiment. Nenshi is in the lead among men, women, and all age groups except seniors.

10.6.17: It's nomination deadline day in Montreal and Quebec City. Candidate and party lists are now finalized.

9.28.17: The Canadian Municipal Election Study launches today in Calgary!  The pre-election survey will interview 2,000 Calgarians about their political attitudes and behaviour.  Follow-up interviews will be conducted shortly after election-day.

9.18.17: Nomination deadline day is here in Calgary!  A total of 131 candidates registered to run for mayor, councillor or school board trustee.

9.11.17: Calgary Municipal Election Newsletter launched by Jack Lucas at the University of Calgary. The newsletter contains election updates and a briefing on political science research related to the election. There will be a new installment every week until election day.
